Position, is a public statement that indicates a person’s perceptions. Knowing the customers position is important to us because it refers us to the applicants perception of their problem. When parents refer for their child’s problems, it is important for us to know how they see him and his difficulties. Do they see him as a “bad” (“He beats and beats the children. Probably learned it from his friends.”) Or “sick” (” I divorced when he was a little boy and he seems to carry with him a lot of anger!? We came to find out if he needs a psychologist”).
Different position dictates a different approach for each pair of parents, how to deal with the child’s problem, where to apply for assistance, and the specific expectations from the therapeutic intervention.
